The ozone is a gas present in the upper layers of the atmosphere. In the atmosphere, it is responsible to filter the ultraviolet radiation from the sun, keeping the atmosphere acceptable for all living being on the planet. Cooling artificial gases based on CFC’s, chloro-fluoro-carbon compounds used in air conditioning equipments, attack ozone layer in the atmosphere, diminishing its concentration, what causes the problem of the ozone hole. The prohibition in some countries of the production of equipments that use CFC’s and the consequent replacement for other cooling gases has caused some positive effect on the diminishing of the ozone layer in the atmosphere.
