Microgeneration consists on the decentralized production of energy at a small scale by the consumer itself (particular or enterprise), through photovoltaic solar panels, wind turbines, biomass heating systems, microturbines, etc. The produced renewable energy is sold afterwards to the public power grid, according to the Ordinance 118-A/2010, allowing an excellent payback to the owner. The microproduct establishes a contract to the selling of this energy to the public power grid, ensuring the recovery of the investment at medium-term.
